Before Death:

Developing a Deathcare Plan
(may include some or all of the following):
  • Advance care planning and directives
  • Planning for final days
  • Planning for after-death:  vigil, funeral, burial or cremation, memorial.

Guidance with paperwork for end-of-life.

Before, During Or After Death:
​

Companionship, coaching & education for client and/or family. 

Family-directed funeral planning
​(may include some or all of the following):
  • Guidance with completing and filing necessary documentation (Death Certificate, Permit for Disposition, Authorization for Cremation).
  • Coaching through the process of keeping the loved one at home while final arrangements are being made: paperwork, ceremony, transportation and final disposition.
  • Guidance with preparation of the deceased for lying-in-honour, vigil, viewing or ceremony (includes bathing and dressing).
  • Guidance with preservation of the deceased for a home funeral.
  • Guidance with transporting the deceased to a cemetery, crematory, church, hall or home.
  • Accompaniment of a family member or an assigned agent (ie. Executor) to the doctor's office, municipal office, and crematorium or cemetery.


​Payment For Services
​

  • The current fee is $45 per hour, plus $.45 per km for travel, invoiced monthly, for planning and guidance prior to death. A maximum amount for services provided after death will be agreed upon once needs and wishes are determined.
  • Invoices will also be issued for reimbursement of charges for materials purchased by Aileen Stewart on behalf of the family.
  • All charges for education, instruction and guidance to the client and family are payable to Aileen Stewart upon completion of the consultation.
  • All hands-on assistance is offered free of charge, as is the initial consultation.
  • Note that payment of any additional fees is to be made directly to each office or facility as they require. For example: casket or shroud purchase; funeral home; municipal office; crematorium or cemetery; celebrant, minister or officiant.
