Deathcare Guide
Scope of Practice
As a Deathcare Guide I accompany the dying person and/or family through a personal, intentional and conscious dying process to help realize their version of a good death.
I also offer instruction, guidance and support to clients choosing to have a “family-directed funeral”. By definition, this means that the family members, or the appointed Executor, plan and carry out some, or all, of the funeral arrangements. These arrangements can include a short, or extended, stay at home for the deceased before being moved for cremation or burial. Final arrangements are made with a crematory or cemetery that best meets the family’s needs.
